Senior Sous Chef, Shark Club Vancouver

Shark Club Vancouver is hiring a Senior Sous Chef to assist with running the day to day operations of the culinary department.  You will be trusted with ensuring our guests have an excellent experience.  Be an integral part of hiring and training the culinary team.  And above all make sure your team is having fun.

The person that is best suited for this role has a passion for leading, and developing a team that is committed to achieving excellent guest experiences.  Has a passion for food that they love to share with their team and our guests.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of prep, and line cooks by providing world class training.
  • Develop a team of supervisors who will support you in your role of training and running great shifts.
  • Cost control supplies inventories.
  • Making recommendations to the Chef on hiring, and development needs.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing safe food handling standards and procedures.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a culinary supervisor, sous chef, or leadership role within a high volume restaurant.  Premium casual experience would be considered an asset.
  • Strong track record of recruiting excellent culinary talent.
  • Proven ability to lead a training department focused on excellent product quality, high cleanliness standards, and efficient execution.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary operations, and quality enforcement.
  • Solid understanding of inventory procedures.

General Manager, Shark Club Vancouver

Shark Club Vancouver is hiring a General Manager to lead the brand new open and re-launch of the Shark Club on West Georgia.  In this role, you will be responsible for building a team that will successfully open, grow, and drive the overall business of this brand new 490 seat sports bar.

The person that is best suited for this role has a passion for leading, and developing a team that is committed to achieving excellent guest experiences.  Is an entrepreneur at heart that understands how to build guest loyalty through executing excellent in store events and promotions.  

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Driving multiple projects that relate to opening a new restaurant.
  • Develop a team of leaders that drive the service, and culinary teams.
  • Accomplishes restaurant and bar human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Accomplishes restaurant and bar human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing safe food handling standards and procedures 
  • Constantly drives sales.
  • Constantly improving profit through analysis of P&L and systems inside the restaurant. 
  • Works directly with the marketing team at home office to execute promotions, and sporting events to a high level.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a General Manager within the restaurant industry.  Premium casual experience would be considered an asset.
  • Strong track record of developing, promoting, and executing promotions and events in a restaurant or bar atmosphere.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary operations, and quality enforcement.
  • Good knowledge of the professional sports entertainment market.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, and P&L management.
  • Experience with creating, and following annual budgets to achieve sales and profit targets.
